I was born in Boston, Massachusetts. I was raised in upstate New York in a family of actors, musicians, sculptors, painters, and scientists. I have always sought to strike a balance between the creative and analytic sides of myself, and my art is a reflection of this search. As a child, I dabbled in multiple artistic media (painting on silk, mask-making, pottery), before finding a love of dance. At Tufts University, where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa as a biopsychology major, I minored in dance. I focused on modern dance, choreography, and was a member of an African dance troupe. After attaining a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of California at San Diego, I moved to Hawaii. Here in Hawaii, I have shifted my artistic focus to the visual arts, studying drawing, portraiture, and painting technique at the Honolulu Academy of Art.
My works appear in private collections in the United States (including Honolulu, San Francisco, Portland, New York) and the Netherlands in Europe.
